UN study programme in Norway

UNA Norway is organising a one year UN study programme with Sund Folk High School in Norway starting in August 2008.

Goals for the programme are to offer insight into the role of the UN, its possibilities and limitations, increase
understanding of correlations in international politics and to develop "chance-agents" for a better world.

Galatasaray Euroforum 18-24 April

Each year Galatasaray Euroforum gives an opportunity to students from all over the world to come together, simulate the legislative and executive bodies of the EU and discuss the topics which are on the agenda of the EU. Euroforum will be pleased to see you for the 8th time in Istanbul for the Galatasaray Euroforum 2008 organized by Galatasaray University International Law and Diplomacy Club. Galatasaray Euroforum which is a model European Union conference is unique in its kind.

Final Resolution of DanMUN2007

This is the final resolution adopted by the DanMUN Security Council in Copenhagen on the 20th of October 2007.

It concerns the situation in DR Congo.

If you did not participate in DanMUN2007 it is very important to note that we escalated the situation during the Security Council sessions. Thus the final resolution refers to an imaginative (yet realistic) version of the situation in Eastern DR Congo as of October 2007. All escalations, working papers, draft resolutions, and amendments will be posted under "scenario2007" as soon as possible.

DanMUN2007 has now come to an end, but thanks to everyone - participants, presidency, and organisers - for making this last week fantastic!

Private Positions Paper

Dear Delegates of DanMUN,

Remember to hand in your private position paper tonight!

You must answer the following questions in about one page:

What are your country's current and historical bonds to the DRC incl. trade relations?
What is your country's yearly contribution to MONUC (troops, personnel, equipment, and finance)?
What are your country's bilateral contributions to DRC?
What are, from your country's perspective, the primary obstacles to peace and stability DRC?
How do you consider MONUCs efforts so far?
How does your country reply to the Secretary General's call for more funding in fulfilling and expanding the current UN mandate?

This paper will NOT be shown to the other delegations and will only be read by the DanMUN scenario group.
